In the early morning hours of November 19, 2014, the life of 29-year-old Keara Crowder was tragically cut short in her Memphis, Tennessee, home. The promising young woman, a native of Chicago, was shot multiple times during a heated domestic dispute with her wife, Jaselyn Grant. At the time of the incident, Grant was an off-duty Memphis police officer. The fatal encounter unfolded in their residence in the Hickory Hill area of southeast Shelby County.
