Kirsten Lakiyah Williams, a 7-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on April 10, 2015, in Memphis, Tennessee. She was playing outside with other children in the 2600 block of Durby Circle in Southeast Memphis when she was shot. The incident occurred just before 6 p.m., and Kirsten succumbed to her injuries later that day.
