In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 30, 2015, a violent encounter on the side of Highway 63 in Speedwell, Tennessee, abruptly ended the life of 44-year-old Billy Scott 'Scottie' Brogan. A call to Claiborne County E-911 shortly before 4 a.m. reported a shooting, prompting investigators and the sheriff to respond to the scene. There, they discovered Brogan's body.
