On November 27, 2019, Charles R. Bussell, a 40-year-old man from Speedwell, Tennessee, tragically lost his life. Bussell was driving his SUV on State Highway 63 near the Ausmus Lane intersection when he was shot by Jacob Cory McGeorge, a 24-year-old passenger in the vehicle. The shooting caused Bussell's vehicle to veer off the road and crash into a tree. Authorities found Bussell dead at the scene with a gunshot wound.
