In the summer of 2015, a violent encounter in Athens, Tennessee, resulted in the death of 40-year-old Rendell Correy Jones. On the evening of August 1st, Jones was at a residence on Lime Street when gunfire erupted. He was one of three men shot during the incident.

When law enforcement arrived at the scene, they found a chaotic situation with three victims. Jones was fatally wounded and died shortly after the shooting. Two other men, Matthew A. Moore, 37, and Tim White, 47, also sustained ...
