In the early hours of a Saturday morning in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 16-year-old D'Anthony Obee was tragically cut short. On March 12, 2016, in the Orange Mound neighborhood, the African American male sophomore from East High School found himself in a desperate flight for his life. Around 2 a.m. on Semmes Street, two unknown individuals appeared and began to chase the teenager. The pursuit ended in a hail of gunfire, leaving D'Anthony severely wounded.
