In Memphis, Tennessee, a domestic argument on April 19, 2016, tragically escalated, leading to the death of 35-year-old Rickey Rogers. The incident unfolded in the 800 block of Mosby, where Rogers became involved in a heated dispute with Carreyon Pryor, the 19-year-old son of his girlfriend.
The argument between Rogers and Pryor turned into a physical altercation. In the course of the fight, Pryor allegedly produced a handgun and shot Rogers multiple times.
Emergency services were called to the scene, and Rogers was transported to the Regional Medical Center. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
Following the shooting, several witnesses identified Carreyon Pryor as the individual who shot Rickey Rogers. In the days following the incident, Pryor turned himself in to police investigators. He was subsequently arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with Rogers' death. While Pryor surrendered to authorities, he declined to provide a statement to the investigators regarding the events that transpired.
