In the quiet neighborhood of Southeast Memphis, a tragic story unfolded on October 10, 2016. Dewitt Carter, a 34-year-old male, was fatally wounded in a shooting that also left a woman injured. The incident took place on Lake Arbor Drive, where the sounds of gunfire broke the evening calm.
