In the city of Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 29-year-old Alonzo Scullark, an African American man, was cut short on October 1, 2018. Inside his Raleigh apartment, Scullark sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the head. Present at the scene was his partner, Ashley Rivers, who told authorities that the shooting was a tragic accident.
