In the spring of 2019, the life of 32-year-old LaTarica Stripling was tragically cut short in a violent act that unfolded in front of her own children. On the evening of April 25, 2019, in Memphis, Tennessee, Stripling was shot and killed during what authorities described as a domestic situation. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. in the 700 block of Kentucky Street, where witnesses reported hearing gunshots and discovering Stripling in a parking lot.
