Melissa Nale, a 43-year-old woman from Smyrna, Tennessee, tragically lost her life on March 1, 2020. She was found dead in her home alongside Andrew Geerts, a 40-year-old man, in what was later determined to be a botched robbery. The couple was shot multiple times with a Glock model 22, .40 caliber semi-automatic handgun. Melissa, who was also known as Melissa Backer, was in the process of moving to a new home with Geerts when the incident occurred.
