On October 24, 2017, Joseph Finger, 40, was found dead alongside Megan Nieder, 27, in St. Louis's Carondelet neighborhood. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning in the 5700 block of Minnesota Avenue. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and seeing a thin male of unknown race running from the scene shortly afterward. Both victims were known to frequent the South Broadway area, and the crime was later linked to a robbery that turned fatal.
