On a Saturday evening in Knoxville, Tennessee, the life of 47-year-old Newell Lee was tragically cut short. On November 7, 2020, police responded to reports of a shooting in the 2300 block of Linden Avenue in East Knoxville. Arriving at the scene around 6:30 p.m., officers discovered Mr. Lee deceased, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Violent Crimes Unit immediately launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
