In the heart of St. Louis, Missouri, the life of a 28-year-old Black man, Reco Terry, was tragically cut short by gun violence. On the afternoon of Thursday, November 23, 2017, which was Thanksgiving Day, Terry was discovered lifeless on the front porch of a residence in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood. He had sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The incident was one of several fatal shootings that marked a violent holiday weekend in the city.
