In the early morning hours of February 9, 2021, the life of 19-year-old Jamarien J. Douglass, a Black male from Jackson, Tennessee, was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The fatal encounter unfolded outside a short-term rental unit located at 1007 11th Avenue South in Nashville's Edgehill community. Douglass was pronounced dead at the scene.
