Carlos Sweeney, a 24-year-old man from Knoxville, Tennessee, was tragically shot and killed on June 23, 2021, in the early hours of the morning. The incident occurred at an apartment on Longview Road, and the Knoxville Police Department responded to a 911 call that had been disconnected. Upon arrival, they found Sweeney suffering from at least one gunshot wound and pronounced him dead at the scene. The KPD Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation, which is still ongoing.
