On a Tuesday, the 7th of September in 2021, the life of 40-year-old Sedric Bernard Rogers Sr., a Black male, was tragically cut short. He was discovered on the porch of a residence located in the 400 block of West McFarlin Avenue in Henning, Tennessee, having been fatally shot. An autopsy later confirmed that Rogers died from gunshot wounds to his head and left thigh.
