In the early morning hours of October 4, 2021, the life of 26-year-old Akara Dannyell Williams was tragically cut short in her Memphis, Tennessee home. Responding to a report of a shooting at approximately 5:30 a.m. on Summerland Avenue, Memphis Police officers discovered a grim scene. Inside the residence, Akara and a man identified as 44-year-old Patrick Alan Garnier had both sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Neither survived the attack and were pronounced dead at the scene.
