Dominic Belton DSean Cellucci Livingston, a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot on April 13, 2022. Known affectionately as 'Dom' to his friends and family, he was a graduate of Lebanon High School's class of 2020 and was remembered as a vibrant and athletic individual who had a passion for football.
The incident unfolded on a Wednesday afternoon while Dominic was sitting on the
front porch of his grandmother's home. It was then that multiple gunshots were fired, striking and killing him. The sudden violence shattered the peace of the neighborhood and sent shockwaves through those who knew the young man, who was described as having a good heart and a comical, loving nature. His family remembered him as an inspiration and a superhero to his younger brothers.
The alleged shooter, identified as Laquintin Hearn, who was also 20 years old at the time, fled the scene in a silver Camry. Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from an earlier argument between Hearn and Livingston, who were acquainted from their school days. What followed was a high-speed chase as law enforcement pursued the suspect. The chase reached dangerous speeds of up to 125 miles per hour on Interstate 40 before Hearn lost control of his vehicle and crashed.
After the crash, Hearn attempted to flee on foot but was quickly apprehended by officers from the Mount Juliet Police Department and the Wilson County Sheriff's Office. Following his arrest, Laquintin Hearn faced a string of charges, including criminal homicide, evading arrest, reckless driving, and reckless endangerment. In the wake of the tragedy, Dominic's grandmother expressed her profound grief and called for the death penalty for the man accused of taking her grandson's life.
