Susan Griffen Gorbet, a 62-year-old woman from Maynardville, Tennessee, tragically lost her life on June 1, 2022. She was fatally shot on the 100 block of Dogwood Trail in Maynardville. Upon arrival, Union County deputies found Susan and another individual with gunshot wounds. While Susan was pronounced dead at the scene, the other person was transported to a Knoxville hospital for treatment.
