In the summer of 2022, the life of 43-year-old Miles Harold Ledbetter Jr. was cut short by an act of gun violence in Kingston, Tennessee. On Sunday, June 19, 2022, Ledbetter was fatally shot, leaving his family and community to grapple with the sudden and tragic loss. A man with roots in Oak Ridge, where he was born on April 12, 1979, Ledbetter was a graduate of Midway High School and held a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from the University of Tennessee.
