On Halloween night, what should have been an ordinary drive turned tragic for 34-year-old Kanetha Lola Renee Miller. While traveling east on Interstate 24 near mile marker 19 in Robertson County, Tennessee, Miller became the victim of a fatal shooting. The incident, which occurred at approximately 5:45 p.m., involved suspects in a black Charger who opened fire on her vehicle.
The female motorist was identified as being from Nashville.
The investigation into the shooting caused significant disruption, leaving motorists stranded on the interstate for as long as six hours as law enforcement shut down a portion of the highway. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation took the lead on the case, appealing to the public for any witnesses who might have seen a disturbance involving a black Charger in the area around the time of the shooting.
In the weeks that followed, the investigation led to the arrest of two suspects from Clarksville. The individuals, both 17 years old at the time of their arrest in December 2022, were charged with first-degree murder in connection with Kanetha Miller's death. Due to their status as minors, their names have not been publicly released. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deadly interstate shooting remains ongoing.
