On a summer evening in north Minneapolis, the life of 22-year-old Matthew Deon Johnson was tragically cut short. The African-American man was near an apartment building on the night of Thursday, June 10, 2010, when he was shot in the head. He was rushed to a hospital but ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
