On April 5, 1982, Wendlynn Jones, a 28-year-old woman from Braddock, Pennsylvania, was tragically shot in the back of the head while sitting in a crowded court waiting room at the Braddock Municipal Building. The incident occurred when Douglas K. Webster, a former state trooper, pulled out a gun and fired a single shot, killing Jones.
