Her mother also shared that Quinn had faced depression and suicidal thoughts when she was younger, but had worked through that pain in the year and a half before her death. To her family, that made the loss even more devastating: Quinn had fought hard to find light again, only to have her life taken in a burst of violence outside a Braddock nightclub. Those who knew her described her as someone who brought laughter into rooms, cared deeply for her family, and had a spirit that made people feel seen and loved.

The shooter was described only as an unknown person who fired from across the street at the group gathered near Club Elegance.
