Augusto M. Ferrara, a 64-year-old Italian-American male from Springfield, Pennsylvania, tragically lost his life on October 30, 1985. He was one of ten victims at the Springfield Mall who fell victim to a shooting spree carried out by Sylvia Seegrist, a 24-year-old woman diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia. The incident resulted in the deaths of three individuals, including Ferrara, and left seven others wounded.
