On a crisp autumn afternoon, the everyday hustle of the Springfield Mall was shattered by an eruption of violence that claimed the life of 64-year-old Augusto Mario Ferrara. On October 30, 1985, a day that for many was filled with preparations for Halloween, turned into a scene of terror as a lone shooter began a deadly rampage.
