John Patrick William Kilman, a 19-year-old aspiring artist from Norwood, PA, was tragically shot and killed during a robbery at the 24-hour Stop-N-Go convenience store where he worked to earn tuition money for the Art Institute of Philadelphia. The incident occurred early on April 18, 1986, and John was pronounced dead at nearby Taylor Memorial Hospital at 3:59 a.m. He had been shot twice during the robbery, which netted the shooter $82.76.
