Debbie Rivera, an 18-year-old woman from Lancaster, PA, tragically lost her life on March 9, 1992. She was fatally shot in the head at Carter MacRae Elementary School playground by Ricardo Cruz, who was just 13 years old at the time. Rivera was hit by a .45 caliber handgun fired by Cruz, who went to the playground with the intent to find a rival.
