Marvin Burton, 18, male, lost his life to gun violence on August 27, 1992, in Chester, Pennsylvania, after a confrontation that police and prosecutors described as the violent aftermath of an armed robbery. The shooting unfolded in the area of Eighth and McIlvain streets, where Burton was struck in the chest around 2:15 p.m. He had reportedly been with Maurice Harding, Kyle Hicks, and a 17-year-old Chester High School student about 15 minutes earlier when they were allegedly robbed at gunpoint. ...
