Thomas Byrd, a 32-year-old African American man from Chester, Pennsylvania, was found deceased on June 30, 1993. His body was discovered in a wooded area near the 400 block of East 22nd Street in Chester. An autopsy revealed that Byrd had been shot multiple times, and his death was ruled a homicide.
