Renier Holmes, an 8-month-old boy from Chester, Pennsylvania, tragically lost his life on September 5, 2000. Renier was shot in the head by his 11-year-old foster brother, who was handling a firearm. The incident occurred at their home, and despite immediate medical attention, Renier was pronounced dead at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia around 11 a.m. that day.
