Abdiaziz Salah Farah, a 27-year-old man from Brooklyn Park, was tragically shot and killed on May 10, 2015, in Minneapolis. The shooting occurred around 2 a.m. near Pillsbury Avenue South and Lake Street West, close to the Karmel Square shopping center, a hub for the Somali community. When officers arrived, they found Farah dead at the scene, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office ruled the death a homicide.
