In the early hours of New Year's Day in 2009, the city of Chester, Pennsylvania, marked its first homicide of the year. Michael P. Jackson, a 29-year-old male, was found shot in the chest on a street corner. The discovery was made at approximately 3 a.m. at the intersection of Second and Pennell streets.
