In the summer of 2010, tragedy struck the city of Chester, Pennsylvania, with the violent death of 26-year-old Raymar Holmes. On the night of Friday, June 11, authorities were called to the 1300 block of Crosby Street where they discovered Holmes lying with gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the nearby Crozer-Chester Medical Center for emergency treatment.
