Lonnie Workman, a 30-year-old African American man from Philadelphia, PA, was fatally shot on February 6, 2012. The incident occurred in the Germantown neighborhood on Blakemore Street. According to police reports, Workman was shot once in the side around 10:40 a.m. and was pronounced dead less than an hour later at Albert Einstein Medical Center.
