In the spring of 2013, a burst of gunfire shattered the afternoon calm in a Chester, Pennsylvania neighborhood, leaving a young man dead and an elderly woman seriously wounded. The incident unfolded around 1:30 p.m. on April 17, 2013, near the intersection of 22nd and Crozer Streets. Twenty-one-year-old Demetrius L. Jones, known to his loved ones as 'Buddy,' was shot in the head during what police described as an exchange of gunfire. He was rushed to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, but succumbed ...
