Edward Joseph White, a 78-year-old man from Montoursville, PA, tragically died on April 5, 2014. Initially, it was believed that he had been struck by a hit-and-run driver, but further investigation revealed a more sinister cause of death. White was found shot in the head and hip, and his body was discovered near Fairview Drive and Cherry Street. He was rushed to the Williamsport Regional Medical Center but was pronounced dead 90 minutes later.
