A 19-year-old man shot in the head early Thursday morning in Birmingham has died.
Kelvin Lowe, 19, was shot just after 3 a.m. in the 1800 block of Laurel Avenue in southwest Birmingham, according Birmingham police. Officers found him lying face down in the street with a gunshot wound to the head.
Lowe was taken to UAB Hospital, where he died Thursday at 5:25 p.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
