Corporal Bryon Keith Dickson II, aged 38, was a dedicated officer with the Pennsylvania State Police. On the night of September 12, 2014, he was tragically shot and killed in an ambush at the Blooming Grove Barracks in Pike County, Pennsylvania. He had just stepped out of the barracks when he was struck by a .308 caliber rifle shot. Despite attempts by a dispatcher and a second trooper to help him, Corporal Dickson was shot a second time and succumbed to his injuries.
