On April 25, 2015, Yusef Ali Wilson, a 29-year-old male of African American ethnicity, was tragically killed at the Fifth Avenue Tavern in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred during a heated argument with Derrick Jermaine Boone, who opened fire after Wilson threw a barstool at him. Boone shot Wilson in the back, resulting in his death. Two other individuals, Ronald James III and Ceauna Dunlap, were also injured in the shooting but survived.
