On a Tuesday in November 2016, the lives of two teenagers from the Williamsport area were cut tragically short. Brenden Christopher Shipman, a 16-year-old junior at Williamsport Area High School, and his 17-year-old girlfriend, a senior at the same school, were found deceased in a parked car near a boat ramp at Rose Valley Lake in Trout Run, Pennsylvania. The discovery was made in the afternoon after family members grew concerned when the two left school early.
