Teayahe "Taay" Glover, a 19-year-old woman from South Bethlehem, PA, was tragically shot and killed early on the morning of February 8, 2017. She was found bleeding on the sidewalk at Sioux and Sassafras streets, near the Holy Ghost Cemetery. Witnesses reported hearing three or four gunshots, and despite efforts by police and paramedics to revive her, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The coroner ruled her death a homicide, caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
In the aftermath of her death, Bethlehem police launched an investigation but no one was immediately taken into custody. Authorities later connected Glover's murder to another shooting that occurred in the area just days earlier. Tariq D. Page, 23, of Allentown, was arrested in connection with the earlier shooting, and police began to investigate whether the two incidents were related.
The investigation continued for several months, and in 2018, two individuals were charged in connection with Glover's murder. The case highlighted ongoing concerns about violence in the Bethlehem area, particularly in neighborhoods that were typically considered quiet. The community mourned the loss of Glover, who was remembered fondly by friends and family.
