In the spring of 2010, the life of Amanda Hager was tragically cut short on the streets of Detroit, Michigan. A 38-year-old Caucasian woman, she found herself at the intersection of Lawndale and Vernor on the evening of April 25th. It was there that an unknown individual in a passing vehicle opened fire, striking Hager in the face. The brazen act of violence left her dead at the scene, another victim of the city's then-struggling battle with violent crime.
