Shyheem Smith, a 42-year-old African American man from Easton, Pennsylvania, tragically lost his life on April 2, 2018. Smith was fatally shot while sitting in a vehicle on Centre Street in Williams Township, just south of Easton. The incident occurred during what was supposed to be a drug deal. Smith was in the front seat of the car when a masked man, later identified as Nathaniel Markland, approached the vehicle and opened fire, hitting Smith in the head and neck.
