On a Tuesday morning in July 2018, Lamont Lewis, a 28-year-old man, was found shot to death in the driver's seat of his parked gray Hyundai in Chester, Pennsylvania. The discovery was made around 11 a.m. on the 1700 block of West 11th Street. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body.
Paramedics from Crozer-Chester Medical Center arrived at the scene and officially pronounced him dead.
The incident was quickly ruled a homicide by the Chester Police Department, marking the city's 11th of the year.
During the initial investigation, authorities received information that a white vehicle was seen fleeing the area shortly after the shooting. However, this lead did not immediately result in the identification of any suspects.
Despite the ongoing investigation by both the Chester Police Department and the Delaware County Criminal Investigation Division, no arrests have been publicly announced in connection with the murder of Lamont Lewis. The case has been highlighted in public appeals for information, but as of now, those responsible for his death have not been brought to justice.
