On June 1, 2019, 22-year-old Jordan Emmanuel Lewis, an African American male from Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot on the front porch of a residence in the 7500 block of Ellesmere Avenue in Swissvale, a suburb of Pittsburgh. The incident occurred during a gathering at the home, where tensions escalated between Lewis and 21-year-old Charlton Mitchell.
