In the summer of 2019, a dispute between a landlord and his tenant over rent escalated into a fatal encounter in the Garfield neighborhood of Pittsburgh. Matthew Andrew Khoury, a 37-year-old male, was shot and killed in his Kincaid Street home in the early morning hours of July 22, 2019. The man responsible for his death was his tenant, Michael Wolf, who was 50 years old at the time.
