On September 1, 2019, Edwin Perez-Huertas, a 27-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, was tragically shot and killed in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 5:40 a.m. when police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 232 Lincoln Way West. Upon arrival, officers found Perez-Huertas lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite efforts by EMS to treat him at the scene, he succumbed to his injuries.
