Donta D. Carson, Sr., a 34-year-old African American man from Erie, Pennsylvania, tragically passed away on August 3, 2020, due to a gunshot wound to the head. His death was ruled a homicide. Carson was one of two victims in a shooting incident that occurred in the 700 block of East Seventh Street in Erie. The other victim, 29-year-old Deltwan Keyes, died from gunshot wounds to the torso.
