Richard Williams, a 45-year-old Black man from Mountville, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot on April 16, 2021. The incident occurred at his home on Hillside Drive in West Hempfield Township. Williams' ex-wife, Cherelle Byrd, 36, was arrested and later pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter. Byrd admitted to shooting Williams with a 9mm handgun during a heated argument about finances.
